Florida living has it's advantages and disadvantages.
Shall I name them?

          PROS

  • Year-round crops
  • Diverse ecosystems
  • No state taxes
  • Abundant wildlife
  • Agriculturally rich
  • Comfortable winters(no Snow)
  • Beautiful Gulf on the West coast
  • Vast Atlantic on the East coast
  • NASA
  • Abundant Lakes and Rivers

        CONS
  • Hurricanes
  • High cost housing
  • Sweltering summers
  • Crowded coastlines
  • Tourist trouble
  • Low pay scales

To Florida natives, the positives far outweigh the negatives.
I believe many non-natives have found they think like us.
So what happens when all the U.S. becomes one large state of Florida?

Paso Fino

As you can see, we have very friendly
neighhhh-bors!
Quarter Horse

White Paso Fino

Black Paso Fino

They love posing for photographs.

Often their buddies will join in on a photo shoot.
Nosey Ned

Running Quarter Horses

This guy appears to be of a different breed.

Of course, nothing is so adorable as a baby horse.
We are so blessed to live close to the "horse capital" of the world.

"He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills......By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches."   Psalm 104:10 & 12

Occasionally, we get to actually have close encounters with the wildlife on our property. This is not the only time we have found a little wren disoriented. When a bird is unable to fly and appears unaware of your presence, you may have a bird in shock. The best remedy, in such a case, is to fill an eye dropper with a little sugar water and feed it to the little guy. Almost instantly life begins to return to them and they can fly away.  What a privilege to be able to care for these little birds.

"Thou openest Thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing."  Psalm 145:16

Have you ever seen a hummingbird with it's beak open?

This guy is obviously complaining
about his feeder.

Watching these amazingly tiny creatures right at your living room window is truly a treat. They seem to have just as much interest in what we're
doing inside as what they are doing outside.

"O LORD, how manifold are Thy works! in wisdom hast Thou made them all: the earth is full of Thy riches."               Psalm 104:24
The gorgeous Gulf of Mexico
at the Emerald Coast.

This is one of our most favorite spots on planet earth. Located on highway 98 in the panhandle of Florida. Beacon Hill is just east of Mexico Beach.
Notice the green and turquoise hues, crystal clear water, and sugar white sand. An artist's paradise!
Spectacular sunsets!
